1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)
2. Remove the following parts:a. Driver-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)b. Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)c. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)d. Shift lever knob (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R].)e. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)f. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)g. Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)h. Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)i. Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)j. Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)k. Hood release lever (See HOOD LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)l. Fuel-filler lid opener lever (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove bolt A.
4. Pull the driver-side lower panel in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), (2), (3) while detaching clip B, hooks C and pin D.
5. Pull the driver-side lower panel in the direction of the arrow in the order of (4), (5) and remove it while detaching clips E and guide F.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)d. Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove bolts A.
4. Pull the passenger-side lower panel in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4) and remove it while detaching clips B, hook C, pin D and guide E.
1. Install clips B, hook C, pin D and guide E while pressing the shaded area shown in the figure for the passenger-side lower panel in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5).
2. Install bolts A.
3. Install the following parts:a. Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)b. Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)c. Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)d. Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)
5. After installing the passenger-side lower panel and glove compartment, measure the clearance, and verify that the measurement value is within the specification shown in the figure.
If the measurement value is not within the specification after measuring the clearance between the passenger-side lower panel and glove compartment, adjust the passenger-side lower panel to the proper position. (See Passenger-side lower panel adjustment.)
1. Remove the glove compartment. (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Loosen bolts A.
If the passenger-side lower panel moves in the lateral direction when bolts A are loosened, go to the Step 3 and 4.
If the passenger-side lower panel does not move in the lateral direction when bolts A are loosened, go to the Step 5.
3. Remove bolts A.
4. Install bolts A in the order of (1), (2) shown in the figure.
5. Install bolts A in the order of (1) and (2) while pressing the shaded area shown in the figure for the passenger-side lower panel.
6. Install the glove compartment, measure the clearance between the glove compartment and passenger-side lower panel again, and verify that it is within the specification.
If it is not within the specification after measuring the clearance, repeat the adjustment procedure from Step 1.
