DTC

C0061:27, C0061:28, C0061:29, C0061:62, C0062:27, C0062:28, C0062:29, C0062:62, C0062:65, C0063:27, C0063:28, C0063:29, C0063:61, C0063:62, C006A:61

SAS control module system

DETECTION CONDITION

NOTE:

  • The low-G sensor and the yaw rate sensor are built into the SAS control module.

  • C0061:27, C0061:28, C0061:29

    • Out-of-specification signal modulation or lateral-G value is detected from the low-G sensor.

  • C0061:62

    • While driving at a vehicle speed of 10 km/h {6.2 mph} or more, the difference between the lateral-G value calculated from the yaw rate sensor value and the lateral-G value calculated from the low-G sensor value exceeds 0.5 G for a continuous 60 s.

  • C0062:27, C0062:28, C0062:29

    • Out-of-specification signal modulation or longitudinal-G value is detected from the low-G sensor.

  • C0062:62

    • While driving at a vehicle speed of 30 km/h {19 mph} or more, the difference between the longitudinal-G value calculated from the low-G sensor value and the longitudinal-G value calculated from the wheel speed exceeds 0.35 G for a continuous 60 s.

  • C0062:65

    • When the vehicle is stopped from a vehicle speed of 30 km/h {19 mph} or more, the longitudinal-G value of the low-G sensor remains unchanged for 16 times.

  • C0063:27, C0063:28, C0063:29

    • Out-of-specification signal modulation or yaw rate value is detected from the yaw rate sensor.

  • C0063:61

    • The difference between the estimated yaw rate values determined by the low-G sensor, and the EPS CM and the output value from the yaw rate sensor exceeds the specification.

  • C0063:62

    • While driving at a vehicle speed of 15 km/h {9.3 mph} or more, the difference between the yaw rate value calculated from the ABS wheel speed sensor and the low-G sensor and the yaw rate value from the yaw rate sensor exceeds the specification for a continuous 10 s.

  • C006A:61

    • The signals from the yaw rate sensor and the low-G sensor (lateral-G/longitudinal-G) do not change for 1 s or more.

FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION

  • C0061:27, C0061:28, C0061:29

    • Illuminates the ABS warning light, TCS/DSC indicator light, and master warning light*1.

    • Tire pressure monitoring system warning light illuminates after flashes.

    • Inhibits the ABS, brake assist, TCS, DSC, Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)*2, Smart City Brake Support (SCBS)*2, and TPMS controls.

  • C0061:62, C0063:27, C0063:28, C0063:29, C0063:61, C0063:62

    • Illuminates the TCS/DSC indicator light, and master warning light*1.

    • Tire pressure monitoring system warning light illuminates after flashes.

    • Inhibits the TCS, DSC, Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)*2, Smart City Brake Support (SCBS)*2, and TPMS controls.

  • C0062:27, C0062:28, C0062:29, C0062:62, C0062:65

    • Illuminates the ABS, TCS/DSC indicator light, and master warning light*1.

    • Inhibits the ABS, brake assist, TCS, hill launch assist (HLA), vehicle roll prevention function*2, DSC, Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)*2, and Smart City Brake Support (SCBS)*2 controls.

  • C006A:61

    • Illuminates the ABS warning light, TCS/DSC indicator light, and master warning light*1.

    • Tire pressure monitoring system warning light illuminates after flashes*3.

    • Inhibits the ABS, brake assist, TCS, hill launch assist (HLA)*4, vehicle roll prevention function*2*4, DSC, Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)*2, Smart City Brake Support (SCBS)*2, and TPMS*4 controls.

*1: Vehicles with Smart City Brake Support (SCBS).

*2: If equipped.

*3: Not illuminated depending on malfunction content.

*4: Control enabled depending on malfunction content.

Diagnostic procedure

STEP

INSPECTION

ACTION

1

VERIFY SAS CONTROL MODULE IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED
  • Verify installation condition of SAS control module.

  • Is the installation condition normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Install the SAS control module correctly, then perform DSC related parts sensor initialization.

(See DSC RELATED PARTS SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE.)

Go to Step 3.

2

PERFORM SAS CONTROL MODULE DTC INSPECTION

Yes

Go to applicable DTC inspection.

(See DTC TABLE [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

(See DTC TABLE [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

No

Go to the next step.

3

VERIFY THAT THE SAME DTC IS NOT PRESENT

Yes

Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

If the malfunction recurs, replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step.

(See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

No

Go to the next step.

4

VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCS ARE PRESENT
  • Are any other DTCs output?

Yes

Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)].)

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
