DTC U3003:17 [BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM)]



Description

BSM control module high power supply voltage input (16.8 V or more)

Detection condition

  • BSM control module power supply voltage of 16.8 V or more is detected for 2 s or more.

Fail-safe function

  • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.

Possible cause

  • DTCs are stored in the PCM.

  • Battery malfunction

  • Generator malfunction

  • BSM control module malfunction

VERIFY PCM DTCs

Yes

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No

Go to the next step.

INSPECT BATTERY

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Replace the battery, then go to Step 4.

INSPECT GENERATOR

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Replace the generator, then go to the next step.

(See GENERATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [i-ELOOP].)

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED

Yes

Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

Go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
  • Are any other DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

(See DTC TABLE [BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM)].)

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
