SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]

NOTE:

• When removing the solar radiation sensor, perform the procedure in the posture shown in the figure.

  

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

2. Remove the following parts:

a. Front scuff plate (passenger-side) (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

b. Front side trim (passenger-side) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

c. Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

d. Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

e. Lower panel (passenger-side) (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

f. Audio amplifier (with Bose^®) (See AUDIO AMPLIFIER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

g. Blower unit (See BLOWER UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Press out (1) the tab of the solar radiation sensor from the inside of the dashboard using a flathead screwdriver as shown in the figure.

4. Press (2) the tab using a fastener remover as shown in the figure and press out the solar radiation sensor from the inside of the dashboard.

5. Disconnect the solar radiation sensor connector.

6. Remove the solar radiation sensor.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Solar Radiation Sensor Installation Note.)

Solar Radiation Sensor Installation Note

1. Align the shape of the solar radiation sensor with the shape of the installation hole on the dashboard side, and install as shown in the figure.
