2014 - Mazda6 - Transmission/Transaxle

CLUTCH PIPE AND HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R]

CAUTION:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)
2. Remove the air cleaner component (air cleaner, air hose). (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)
3. Remove the battery component (battery, battery tray and PCM component). (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)
4. Pull out the clutch reserve hose in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure while pressing the location indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the figure.

5. Remove the clutch pipe (No.1, No.2) and hose using the following procedure:

a. Lift the connector clip.
b. Pull out the clutch pipe (No.1, No.2) and hose straight to detach it.
c. Remove the clutch pipe (No.1, No.2) and hose.
6. Verify that the seal ring is installed to the clutch pipe and hose connector.

CAUTION:

7. Install the clutch pipe and hose.
a. Press on the connector clip.
b. Insert the clutch pipe and hose connector straight.

NOTE:

  • When the connector is engaged, a click sound is heard.

c. Install the clutch pipe and hose.
8. Insert the clutch reserve hose connector straight.

NOTE:

9. Pull each engagement of the clutch reserve hose and clutch pipe and hose, verify that they are engaged, and then press all of them again.
10. Install the battery component (battery, battery tray and PCM component). (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)
11. Install the air cleaner component (air cleaner, air hose). (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)
12. Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)
13. Bleed the air from the clutch system. (See CLUTCH FLUID REPLACEMENT/AIR BLEEDING [C66M-R].)
