WARNING:
Improperly jacking a vehicle is dangerous. The vehicle can slip off the jack and cause serious injury. Use only the correct front and rear jacking points and block the wheels.
CAUTION:
Use safety stands to support the vehicle after it has been lifted.
NOTE:
To prevent obstruction between the jack body and front bumper when the jack body is inserted, use a low-floor type jack.
WARNING:
Lifting a vehicle is dangerous. The vehicle can slip off the lift and cause serious injury and/or vehicle damage. Make sure that the vehicle is on the lift horizontally by adjusting the height of support at the end of the arm of the lift.
CAUTION:
Lift up the vehicle using lift-up position A (front side) and lift-up position B (rear side) shown in the figure to the extent possible. If the lift arm pad cannot be set to lift-up position B, lift-up position C can be used.
Do not set the lift arm pad on the rib or an uneven area of the side step molding to prevent damaging or deforming the side step molding.
NOTE:
If the lift arm pad is set to the lift-up position C, the side step molding is deflected creating a gap in the area shown in the figure. However, the side step molding will restore to its original condition and the gap will be eliminated when the vehicle is unloaded from the lift.
Only the pad type shown in the figure, with grooves in the longitudinal and lateral directions on the lift arm pad for lift-up position C, can be installed with the pad rotated 90 degrees. Securely engage the side sill flange with the pad grooves at this time.
