DTC U0433:68 [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER]



Description

Error signal received from laser sensor

Detection condition

  • Instrument cluster receives the error signals from the laser sensor.

Fail-safe function

  • Inhibits the smart city brake support control.

  • Warning message related to the smart city brake support is displayed in the LCD (instrument cluster (type A)).

Possible cause

  • DTCs are stored in the laser sensor.

  • Laser sensor malfunction

VERIFY LASER SENSOR DTCs
  • Switch the ignition off.

  • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 10 s or more.

  • Retrieve the laser sensor DTCs using the M-MDS.

    (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [LASER SENSOR].)

  • Are any DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [LASER SENSOR].)

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED

Yes

Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

Go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
  • Are any other DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

(See DTC TABLE [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER].)

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
